Approximately 2.7 MILLION dogs and cats are killed in shelters each year due to lack of space, money and good adoptive homes. Until we humans take responsibility for our actions, or lack of, this will continue. It begins with spay/neuter for all and not dumping animals when they become inconvenient. It starts with everyone working together. It begins with each and everyone one of us doing the right thing.

The forecast calls for Snow! No, not the kind you have to shovel—this Snow is way better. With his winter-appropriate name and heart-melting golden coat, 2 year old, 50 lb. Snow is ready to bring some frosty magic to your family this December. This sweet boy has been making strides in his southern foster home, nailing leash walking like a pro, and putting in solid effort on house training and crate training. He’s a shy guy at first but is blossoming beautifully with the help of his patient foster family. He’s looking for a home with active humans who’ll help him keep growing his confidence. Snow loves long walks, cozy vibes, and the company of other pups! Kids 10+ at home? Perfect! Cats? He hasn’t met any yet so we can’t say for sure. Snow’s big debut in Massachusetts is happening on December 6th, and he’s hoping he’ll have a family lined up to welcome him home that day! Fill out an application on our website [browndogcoalition.com/adoption] and make Snow’s dreams of finding a forever home before the holidays come true. |

Clifford is still looking for a home! There hasn’t been much interest for this sweet boy and we can’t figure out why, he’s pretty perfect! He was surrendered to our care when he was hit by a car. The neighbor brought him to a vet clinic who reached out to us for help. The owner later came to sign him over to us. His back leg had severe injuries and couldn’t be saved.
About Clifford:
• 7 month old Dane/Mastiff mix
• 75 lbs
• Tripod but gets around well
• Very dog friendly
• Was recently cat tested and gave the cat kisses
• Chill & lower energy
• Kennel/potty trained
• Fully vetted and just had gastropexy surgery!
Because he’s a tripod XL breed, stairs will be tough for him. He also needs assistance loading into cars but is a great car rider! Clifford is currently in Houston, TX. He’s heartworm negative and fully vetted so he can travel out of state. We can typically coordinate transport! Please consider this sweet boy

MEET BRADY & MARCIA -- AGAIN
Three years ago, we were brother-sister kittens who were adopted together. But recently, our humans could no longer keep us, so now we’re looking for what we hope will truly be our forever home. We’re both quite pettable, and we like to eat and hang out together. We look alike, so we have collars to help humans tell us apart, but Brady isn’t wearing his in our photos because he pulled a Houdini. We've been spayed/neutered and vaccinated, so we're ready for our second chance in life.

Meet Lilac and Callie. These two 12 week old girlies came in as feral kittens last week but thanks to our volunteers who have been spending so much time with them- they have quickly turned in to two sweet, purring peaches!! Lilac and Callie are sisters who are so closely bonded, so we would really love to see them go home together.
Stop in to meet them Tuesday through Saturday or give us a call with any questions! 508-627-8662

Meet Bus Driver (B.D. for short)!
Take a look at this sweet, handsome face. This is the face of a cat that was probably once the apple of someone‘s eye. That is until the kitten novelty wore off. He’s no longer small or cute (in their eyes). As he matured he started spraying and getting the urge to go outside. At this point, he is no longer wanted by his “family or welcome in his “home”. He is left out on the streets to survive. He spots a small group of cats nearby (that are cared for by us) and he joins them. Free daily meals help make his life on the streets a little easier these days. He’s the new kid to the group so he knows his place. He patiently waits until everyone else is finished eating before he gets his share. He has been gaining confidence over the past couple of weeks and finally started greeting us and seeking head bumps/chin scratches! He was on our TNR to do list for now while we were searching for rescue placement for him. Well, that is until last weekend. We immediately noticed that he was limping (he was fine the day before). Our first thought was he probably got into a scuffle with another cat, causing puncture wounds/injury to the leg. We scooped him up and took him to ACCT (for neuter and an assessment). On Monday the community cats coordinator gave us an update that made us heartbroken and angry at the same time. She told us the bad news is that Bus Driver was shot in the leg, but the good news is that he will be okay! The surgeon at ACCT was able to remove the majority of the pellet (actually all except for one tiny fragment). After surgery he was transferred back into our care, so he is currently at The Cat Doctor for recovery (which also includes pain management). He is very nervous and traumatized by this whole ordeal, but can you blame him? His physical healing is going well (although his leg is still tender and swollen), but he finds himself once again having to heal from trauma caused by humans. This was 100% intentional and we are absolutely ANGRY that an evil monster found some kind of fun or satisfaction at harming this sweet boy. There are lots of things that we would like to say about the person that did this, but we would rather use that energy to focus on Bus Driver and his healing journey. He is the one that deserves to be the center of attention and the star of the show! He will need rescue placement (possibly later this week) because there is NO WAY that we are putting him back outside after all of this. Which rescue would like to step up and be his hero? Please contact us if you would like to help heal B.D.’s leg and heart. Also, if you would like to chip in towards Bus Driver’s medical expenses, here are ways to help:

Molly - Senior Gal
I live with other dogs in my foster home and get along just fine with them! I love humans of all ages & sizes, too.
My crate is my safe, quiet space so I don’t mind being in there but I really don’t need to be because I’m a good girl and don't destroy anything if I’m left out! I really enjoy going for walks and do amazing on a leash! I’m a quiet girl and would probably be a great apartment dog (if needed to be)!

Brewster Veterinary Hospital, MA -https://www.brewstervethospital.com/
We'd like to introduce you to a very special girl, miss Bridget. Bridget is a healthy, 8 year old chihuahua mix, who we've been seeing since she was a puppy. She is up to date on all of her vaccines. AND SHE IS ADOPTABLE THROUGH US! This is Bridget's story: This past weekend, while the local shelters were closed, we received a phone call from friends of Bridget's mom, a long time client and friend of us here at Brewster Vet. They let us know that for personal reasons, they needed to rehome Bridget as soon as possible. Without hesitation, Dr. Kaser asked that they bring her to Brewster Vet where she was surrendered to us. While this is not something we do often, we knew that we had to help Bridget and her mom, both of whom mean a lot to us. Bridget is a love! She has been through a lot, and while seems standoffish at first, warms up nicely. If you feel that you would be a great parent to Bridget, please contact us at the office and ask to speak with our administrative supervisor, Carley. Together, her and Dr. Kaser will go through the adoption process to find Bridget her new home! Our ideal candidate for Bridget's new parent: ⦁ Someone who understands that they need to move slowly and with patience when it comes to her. ⦁ Someone willing to take a lot of time to make her comfortable in her new surroundings ⦁ Someone familiar with the chihuahua breed ⦁ Someone who understands that she must be leashed, at ALL times. She is a flight risk and scares easy, and ultimately would not do well off leash. ⦁ A home with other dogs is ok, as long as Bridget meets them and feels that they are a good fit for her! ⦁ A home with older children is also ok (ideally 12+), as long as the new owners understand to go slow with her and introduce her to the family at a pace that works best for Bridget. If you feel that you would be a good match for Bridget, give us a call! We look forward to hearing from potential paw-rents! Now for the good stuff, fun facts about Bridget: LIKES: ⦁ Treats (I mean, obviously!) especially those of the chicken flavor variety! ⦁ Snuggles, especially on your lap! ⦁ Good girl praises ⦁ Soothing voices and slow, gentle movements DISLIKES: (which we believe she will overcome with a little work) ⦁ Loud noises⦁ Fast movements -Help us find this sweet girl a home! |

For the Love of Cats, NH - Facebook
I have been rescuing and fostering cats for over two decades and recently found myself in a situation I never thought I would be in. I am likely needing to relocate for personal reasons as well as due to employment status and am looking for boarding or foster for 15 cats. Most of my crew are very shy and semi-feral. They are not aggressive at all-they love each other but are not able to be handled at all. They have been indoor cats for years. I am simply networking and any negative comments will be removed. Sadly, all local shelters are at capacity, as is local boarding. Any insight to resources local to Manchester NH would be greatly appreciated. |

Dancer is a 2 year old Podengo girl who is a lot of fun! Up until ten days ago she was kept outdoors. She now knows how to walk on a leash very nicely. She stays right by your side. She only had two accidents and has been great with house training. She likes sleeping in her crate at night. She is great with other dogs and makes for a great playmate. Dancer even knows how to play fetch and will bring the ball back to you and drop it at your feet!
She is so smart and deserves a home for the holidays! Please Share!

Cricket and Rufus - I mean.... come on - they don't look real right? So here's the deal - we would LOVE LOVE LOVE to take these two little munchkins and get them into a forever home in New England where they get to be together and get tons of love. BUT.... the trip to New England might be stressful for them and we'd like them to land in their forever homes bypassing foster care here. So.... are you interested in adopting these two? We have lots of info here from their current owners. "My father in laws dogs. He passed in April and they have been with us since, Both dogs are older(10&13) and used to getting more attention than we are able to give them with 2 children and another on the way. We would like to avoid flip-flopping them from here, to foster, to new home, if at all possible. They are a very bonded pair and would need to be rehomed together. Both are house trained and very sweet gentle dogs. They've done great with our kids and tolerated them well, but we can tell they are a little stressed in the loud fast paced environment.. They both do well with our other dog, a collie mix. We had some issues with them chasing our cats at first but that settled quickly and now everybody coexists in the house well together. Cricket- female,13 years, is some kind of terrier mix. She is a great lap dog and so sweet. She is missing an eye but that does not hinder her in anyway. Rufus- male, 10years, we think he is a German spitz. He is blind in 1 eye since birth and has some swelling in his ear canals that is causing him to be deaf. He can be a little nervous/anxious at first but once he is settled he is full of energy. Loves to run and play in the yard." What do you say? Can we help these babies land in an awesome home?? If so, please email me: [email protected] and we can discuss particulars |

Meet Izzy - a 4 year old, 12 pound, Shih Tzu little gal from Mississippi.
Her foster shares "Izzy came to me from an owner surrender that was very neglectful. She was covered in sores that oozed with infection, barley had any hair, both her eyes were infected, her nails grown into her pads, two ear infections and a mammory tumor. It was so heartbreaking!
But through all this Izzy was sweet and seemed to understand I was here to help her. She loves a bath and has no issues with me trimming her nails. She was on and off antibiotics for months, needed medicated baths every week and is on a very strict diet. When she was completely healthy she was spayed and the tumor removed and sent for testing. The results were not what I wanted, carcinoma. But Izzy is a happy girl that loves life. She is loving and prefers to be right next to her person. She gives the softest kisses and loves to root in the bed. She never meets a stranger and will bark to tell you what she wants. She does enjoy dogs company so a friend would be wonderful for her. I do not know how much time she has left but she is loving everyday she gets! And we hope to find a family that is happy to love her with their whole hearts for how ever long that is!"
Izzy takes 1/4 tablet of Apoquel daily for her skin, and she can not miss a dose because her skin is very sensitive. She eats Purina One lamb and rice dry mixed with purina one lamb and rice canned food. Any adopter would need to understand the expense of her diet and meds.

Mickey – Available for Adoption. Our adorable senior boy Mickey is now available for adoption.
Mickey has had a rough start in life. His previous owners were not very attentive to his needs, down right neglectful. When he was first seen he was covered in mats, covered in fleas, malnourished and had a limp that was likely an old injury caused by being hit by a car as he lived on a main drag.
Since early August, Mickey has been at a wonderful foster home and has been doing amazing. He has gained weight, gained his confidence, and is now enjoying life as an indoor only kitty. No more cars for Mickey!
His legs are still a little wonky. While his back legs are stronger than when he first arrived at foster, they're never going to be totally OK. He manages well and he knows that he has his limits, that he really can't jump any higher than a chair, the sofa or bed. He does get a case of zoomies at times and loves to toss & chase his toy mice. Even though he has gained weight, he’s still too thin, so will need someone who will work on this so he gains weight but doesn’t overeat. His fur is growing back slowly, and once his fur fills in fully, he's going to be stunning. It is believed he is part Norwegian Forest cat.
Overall, while he does have some issues, he's a real sweetie, a very gentle gentleman and will be a very happy addition to the right, understanding, forever home. Mickey is approximately 10 years old, neutered, negative for both FeLV and FIV, and up-to-date on all his shots. If you are interested in meeting him, contact Boston's Forgotten Felines on Facebook or at [email protected]

Meet Amos! Amos is the under dog. His ears were cropped to make him look tough, continuing the stigma pitbulls are scary. After years in his home, he was discharged like trash on the side of the road, left to fend for himself. Amos is now looking for his new home, someone who will spoil him, let him roll in the grass, give him a cozy bed to curl up on. Amos is guessed to be about 10-years-old, no one quite knows his age. His is spunky, loving his time outside and walks. Amos enjoys other dogs. He is excitable with new interactions but meets the dogs energy and play style. Amos is not a fan of cats so no small animals in the home for him. We don't want to see this guy waiting a while for a home. He deserves only the best. If you can't adopt, share his story. Let's get this underdog the loving happy ending he so deserves. Please email [email protected] if you can give this wonderful guy his forever home. |

This has led the Metro Denver Animal Welfare Alliance (MDAWA) to ask people who are able, to adopt from a shelter. The MDAWA is comprised of 25 public and private shelters, rescue groups and animal welfare services across the Denver metro.

This adorable little guy is Minuteman! Retired from the militia life at an estimated 10 years young, he has a clean bill of health and is now very much a lover and not a fighter. Spend just one minute with him, and he will march right into your heart. Minuteman gets along with other cats. He prefers pate or puree wet food with warm water mixed in. He would love to sit on your lap in the daytime and snuggle your neck in bed at night. |

We found these 3 neonatal kittens at Brower Park in Crown Heights. In these cases the best course is to leave the kittens where they are and wait for the mother cat to retrieve them. Unfortunately the park was full of kids and they wouldn't leave the kittens alone. We've been bottle feeding them and they're doing well but we could really use some help.
If you have experience bottle feeding and caring for baby kittens, or (better yet) happen to have a nursing mother cat at home right now, please contact us!

Why are some animals overlooked for so long? It's hard to say. Sometimes it is because of specific medical or behavioral needs, other times it's age, and sometimes - it's for seemingly no reason at all! Tornado, Chris (and other hamsters), Blue, and Lucy are currently our longest term residents. They have all been so patient waiting for their forever homes.
If you look back and remember your life back in November - could you imagine having spent all that time until now in a shelter? If you are looking to adopt, please consider opening your heart and home to a long term shelter resident so they can finally have a normal life again

Our wonderful Bruno is patiently waiting for the family that’s going to love and adopt him. Bruno knows that all the volunteers at FFD love him but he knows there is more love out there waiting for him. Bruno is a very sweet, 8 year old dog German Shepherd that enjoys belly rubs, being brushed, playing with balls and being with his people. As with many GSDs, it’s best for him to be the only pet and he really needs a fenced in yard. Bruno has been neutered, microchipped and is fully vaccinated.
Call us at 508-548-7742 to meet Bruno.

I love attention but do not require anything special, and I like dogs too. Please visit, thank you!

Every part of her story is heartbreaking. She lost her home, her favorite human, and immediately spent the next 2 weeks hospitalized with the serious canine flu that is going around North Texas. She finally recovered and thought she had a forever home, but they changed their mind and no longer want her…..
Cheddar needs help. She needs a foster or forever family to get out of boarding.
But we need help too. Between Cheddar’s hospitalization, medical treatment, and now boarding fees, her bill is nearly $1000. Just $1, $5, $10 helps tremendously. It takes a village and all adds up. Please help if you can.

Pleeeeease share Lizzie! She's been in the shelter system for much longer than she deserves. Her forever people are out there somewhere!
Lizzie has been enjoying a slumber party one night each week at her favorite dog walker's house (thank you, Suzanne!!). If Suzanne didn't already have a dog of her own, we know where Lizzie would be living permanently
Lizzie is really easy and low energy in the home. She is like velcro - she wants to be wherever you are. She is great on leash.
Lizzie needs to be the only pet in the home. We know this is part of why she has been waiting so long but "only pets" are good pets too We love this girl and want to see her in her forever home ASAP!
She is around 7 years old and 55 lb.
Thank you!!

This thicc, stocky pair without necks came into the shelter together and are currently sharing a kennel. They don’t have to go to foster together, separate fosters are fine, we just want to make sure they both make it to us at NARPS! They don’t mind other pups and should be fine with middle school aged kids + (just until we get to know them a little better). No kitties please! If you are able to open your and to Thor or Nala… please submit our application! FOSTER APP: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/foster/NARP/Dog |

Meet Charismatic Caramel.
Caramel is a beautiful orange male tabby cat who needs a special home . He is not for everyone and needs a savvy and experienced cat owner. and an adult only home. If he is uncomfortable, he will use his teeth and claws.
Caramel can also be very loving and affectionate- but on his terms. He is an approximately 4 year old neutered tom cat who traveled from Newark City Shelter to find his forever home. He needs a patient and understanding family that can read cat body language and let Caramel take the lead. When he wants affection he will jump on your lap or bump you for head scratches. He purrs like a freight train and enjoys his lap time as long as he initiates it. He will even come snuggle on the bed once he is comfortable. He can also be very playful and at times independent and likes his “me” time. Caramel will need someone that will give him all the time he needs to settle in and trust and meet him on his terms. He is currently living with cats that give him his space and does fine with them. He would prefer a home without dogs. If you think you could be the right family for Caramel please submit a cat application at Paws4survival.com
Caramel is being fostered in Braintree MA.

Taco is tiny. He's more a Taquito, truly. Un taquito bonito. Taco is very affectionate and sweet, enjoys snuggling, gets chilled easily if the temp drops below 70, happily wears sweaters and coats like a supermodel. You know, typical chihuahua stuff. He's about six pounds (very portable!) and four years old. We just had Taco neutered Friday 3/4/22 which should help reduce his urge to mark things indoors.
Thank you!

Virginia and North Carolina please share Spot - he is almost perfect!!
Another sad story which is the sign of the times. Spot was adopted from us 3 years ago and recently was returned due to divorce, family issues, we aren't really sure. We also took his fur sister, who was not ours, but we couldn't let her go to a shelter. Spot is a great dog and really would love to find a true forever home. Spot is 6.5 years old now, weighs 71 lbs, current on vaccines, neutered, microchipped, house broken and crate trained. He loves kids and likes the girl dogs as he lived with a female for 2 years. If a male is submissive, he could live with him also and he lived with cats. He pulls on a leash some, but he knows commands like sit, lay, stay, and give paw, so he's really smart.
Please help Spot get back into a forever home.
If interested in adopting Spot please fill out an application at Operationsaveashelterdog.org. Adoption fee is $250 unless you are a veteran, first responder, or senior.

The mission of Angels Helping Animals Worldwide is to transport rescues from areas where there is an overabundance of stray, homeless, and endangered animals to areas where there is a shortage of adoptable pets and to facilitate the adoption process. AHAWW rescues dogs from islands devastated by hurricanes, areas where there are earthquakes, communities in need, puppy mills in Pennsylvania, Death Row Dogs of New York, and areas with over populations due to lack of spay and neuter programs. Mirabel and Luisa here! We are new to PK and are hoping our very own furever family is out there somewhere. Similar to the movie characters we are named after, we have our very own special magical gift: the gift of love! We are super sweeties and have so much love for each other (we snuggle and groom one another!) and for humans as well. A Good Samaritan found us after we were dumped in a dog crate in the snow Luisa being the big, strong girl that she is tends to be the more curious and immediately outgoing of us. I, Mirabel, on the other hand am a little more timid and shy when first meeting people. But then I open up and show how incredible I am! We aren’t sure exactly how old we are, but our best guess is around 1 to 2 years old. Is there anyone out there who can open up their hearts and home to a bonded pair like us? We promise to light up your house with joy and love
If interested in learning more about us, send an email to PK’s humans at [email protected]!

Appalachian Great Pyrenees Rescue - Richmond, VA - [email protected]
My name is Rosie - my sister Lily and I joined Appalachian Great Pyrenees Rescue in November 2021. We will be a year old in April, 2022 so we still have a bit of "puppy enthusiasm".
Both of us are cuties and are trying to learn to walk better on a leash but it is soooo difficult!!!! There are so many good smells and things to explore and don't forget those silly squirrels running around in the woods and distracting us. Some of them so bold as to dare to cross right in front of us on our walks. Wait until we have our own fenced in yards...we'll show them who is boss. We like respectful children but remember - we still have puppy energy so anything left on the floor in the house is fair game.
If you are interested in a young female (adorable) Pyr, please consider adopting either my sister Lily or myself. We are hoping to be in our forever homes before our first birthday!
All Great Pyrenees require a fenced-in yard (at least four foot high). If you have questions about the breed or our adoption policies and procedures, please go to our website at www.agprescue.org. There's plenty of good information about the breed on our website - Pyrs aren't a breed for everyone!
Our adoption application is online: http://agprescue.org/adoption-application/agpr-application-donations/ Please note that we are a small regional rescue organization. We will consider adopting to families within a four to five hour drive to Richmond, VA

Meet Moonshine!
Moonshine is a cute guinea pig who wasn't treated with kindness in the past. This guy was sadly let outside, to fend for himself, in the cold New England weather. Thankfully, kind people found him and he was able to be trapped and brought to safety!
Moonshine is a younger guy, maybe about 2-years-old. He was found with his pal Forest, but right now they are kept separate. We would love a home that is up for re-bonding the pair or has a male guinea pig to be his buddy!
If you are interested in Moonshine, please send a picture of the set up you plan to use to [email protected]

Urgent – Please help us say yes to rescuing Percy!
Percy was found as a stray, emaciated and covered in old wounds consistent with dog fighting. His muzzle is swollen and oozing with discharge. It is covered in secondary cellulitis from old wounds, and he is missing teeth. Percy is extremely loving, docile and cooperative, despite his pain. He is in need of immediate medical attention and hospitalization. Once again, we join with our partners at Jersey Pits rescue, as we work tirelessly against animal cruelty, and band together to save a life. We are urgently making arrangements to transport Percy through emergency to Red Bank Animal Hospital, where Peaches is currently hospitalized. Percy is from the same animal control that we collaborated with in rescuing Peaches.
Animals in desperate need of rescue can’t wait until the holidays are over or the last dog has been released from the hospital. They need our help now, and so once again, we have to count on you, our rescue community, to give us the honor of saying yes to save Percy. Please consider a donation towards Percy’s hospitalization and emergency medical care!

Not a single application and we cannot understand why???
Hi!!! My name is Addie and this is my brother Ace. We are 5 month old black lab mixes and we are coming to Massachusetts to find our forever families. We love each other but we don’t have to be adopted together.
We are friendly dogs and we get along well with others. Our foster Mom says we have the best temperaments and we are loving & sweet.
We are so happy to be out of that scary place with cement floors and rusty chain link cages.
If you think either one of us would complete your family and you have a FOREVER home to provide with live and safety, please complete an application at www.sunnypawsrescue.org
Ace is kind of camera shy but I’m not. I’m on the left and Ace is on the right.
Please share this with all your friends and families. Please help us find ours!!

Camp Cocker Rescue - CA
Deaf + Blind + Senior = URGENT DONATIONS NEEDED TODAY!
Vesper is in big time need of your help today! No donation is too small, donating is super easy right here: https://donorbox.org/vesper-fb
Here is Vesper's rescue story . . .
This sweet boy was a bit of an "accidental" senior rescue. We already had three seniors at the time we got Vesper and were not looking to add a fourth one.
He was in a shelter in Hesperia, CA (about a two and a half hour drive, one way). The shelter had contacted us to ask if we would take him. They told us he was five years of age and was neglected, with bad skin, and bad ears.
When our volunteer showed up to get Vesper and the shelter brought him out, it was clear that he was a senior dog and that he was blind with bulging eyes from glaucoma! We are guessing Vesper to be maybe twelve-ish? He could be older, he could be slightly younger but no way he is five. Once our volunteer came face to face with Vesper, she didn't have the heart to say no and leave him at the shelter.
Vesper's ears . . . omg! We didn't realize how unbelievably bad they were until we bathed him and shaved him down. His ear canals were rotted. His foster mom reports that when she puts ear cleaner in, the ear cleaning solution rolls out through his nostrils. That is how much of the ear canals have rotted through a lifetime of neglect.
Vesper had his right ear ablation surgery in late September and today he is getting his left ear ablation surgery. He also is getting an eye injection procedure today with an ophthalmologist in an attempt to significantly reduce the eye pressure from the glacuoma.
Today is about to be another MEGA expensive day for Camp Cocker but we just have to keep asking for donations. Some people might have said "well why did you rescue another expensive senior if you couldn't afford it?". Yes, that is a valid question. We probably should have said no to taking Vesper in the first place. But it's a really hard emotional thing to meet a dog in person, and then say no, with the understanding that the dog is then going to be euthanized because Camp Cocker was the last hope.
Vesper's foster parents say that he is THE nicest most affectionate gentleman they have ever met. He gets around using his sense of smell and he wags his tail all of the time. Because he can't see or hear, tactile touch is what he craves. Any human interaction just makes his day. He LOVES people!
Another big surprise is that Vesper seems to be house-trained, we can't believe it! He has figured out how to find his way out of the doggie door to go potty outside.
We would love to find Vesper a forever home with someone that is willing to make his third act the BEST part of his life. Once his second ear surgery heals and his glaucoma pressure comes down - he is going to be able to live a pain free life.
Some people think that a senior dog that is blind and deaf does not have a quality of life. If you met Vesper and his wagging tail and his sweet way of leaning in for pets and love - you would see that he can be a happy dog that is still loving life.
Spread the word for Vesper!

Quincy Animal Shelter, MA -
Dante - Quincy Animal Shelter Dante is a mature, lovable, devoted German Shepherd. After living 7 years with his loving family, hard times hit, preventing them from continuing with his allergy care. As anyone knows, to prevent flare ups with allergies, care is ongoing. The separation was heartbreaking, but best for Dante. Dante is allergic to dust and storage mites. He needs prescription food and medication which is costly; approximately $300 a month. Luckily, since he has been at QAS, both have been helping and his allergies are clearing up nicely. He is about to begin allergy injections to hopefully bring him more relief. Dante wants a new home and in return, he will give you a loving, well behaved, easy to walk, cuddly, devoted companion. If interested, email Maura, our adoption manager at [email protected]. |

Are you looking for a new dog to be "one of the guys"? Your ride or die? Your one and only?
Have we got the dude for you!! This big "beefy" boy is... THE BACONATOR (Bacon, for short)! Bacon is well-mannered, seems to be housebroken, and loves everyone he meets. He walks well on leash and is eager to please. We think Bacon would like to spend his future Sundays watching football with his new owners, hanging out on the couch. (He'd clearly look great in your favorite team's jersey.) He is built like a furry cinderblock, and snores like one too... (There's always one in the family...)
Bacon has a few requests for his forever home; He requires daily face massages, on-demand snacks, and that he be the king of the castle as the only pet in your home.
If you think Bacon can fill a burger-sized space in your home, please ask to meet him today! He'll be waiting!!

Hi. My name is Toni, I am a groomer in Taunton, MA. I have a good friend who is looking for a good home for a 2 year old, neutered, yellow Labrador, Stanley. He has PTSD from a previous owner. I’m looking for someone who can handle him with LOVE, PATIENCE, COMPASSION & UNDERSTANDING. He is good with older children, 9 yrs & up. Is good with other dogs, but I think he would do better one on one with a new owner. He is very sweet. But was very abused before my friend adopted him.
If anyone that is up for the challenge & can give him a forger home, please contact me at 508-333-7499. I will give you the information to contact the owner of the dog. Thank you. Woof!

Earl Gray is a 1 yo long hair mix. He enjoys hosting fancy dinners and getting turkey treats. He even will let you pet him as he's brushing his tail under against your legs under the table. He likes a quiet home and he will purr when getting belly rubs. His favorite treat is turkey directly out of hand.
No kids or dogs. Not sure about kitties. Quiet home with safe outside garden to smell the roses is required.

Name: Bella & Nelly
Age: Bella - 3 years & Nelly -1.5 years
Current Weight: Bella - 50 pounds & Nelly - 55 pounds. Rescued from: Texas
Meet Bella and Nelly, bonded pair. Nelly is Bella’s daughter from her first litter. They were owned but mostly kept outside until Bella got pregnant one more time. They were surrendered to the rescue to find a better life. Bella had her babies and took great care of them and has been reunited with her daughter Nelly. They are now ready to find a new family together. They are both so loving and grateful. They are very active, playful and love to give hugs. They are medium energy and are learning house manners but may jump out of excitement. Nelly is a bit shy at first but slowly warms up and will shower you with kisses. Bella is more outgoing and will love you the moment she meets you. They love treats and they sit to take them quite gently. They are crate trained and sometimes they like to switch crates with each other. They like laying on the couch and cuddling with their humans but also love being outdoors when it’s time to play, and they will go straight to the back door when they are ready to come back inside. They love benebones, bully sticks and any kinds of treats. They are both super smart and may have been cats in another life. Nelly can jump really high, so a tall fence is recommended in her new home. Bella likes to rub her body against her human’s legs when she’s looking for love and pets. They are great around men, women and children, and wonderful around other dogs. Bella is heartworm positive and going through slow kill heartworm treatment. Nelly is heartworm negative. Nelly and Bella are looking for an amazing family to love them forever.

Make 2021 Aria's year! Aria was rescued with 17 other rabbits from a cold, wire outdoor hutch in Manorville. Upon rescue, she was understandably frightened. Her bossy personality is coming through as volunteers give her lots of extra love and attention. She is learning to trust humans again and is ready to make your home her own.
Facts about Aria: Perfect litter box habits.
-Will box on occasion when she feels threatened by something you do, which includes moving her belongings too quickly in her pen or sudden movements close to her.
-By taking things slow and sitting with her or laying down in her area, allowing her to investigate and approach you, you are sure to earn her trust.
-Incredibly playful. Her favorite toy is her stacking cups. If you hide treats in them, she'll take them out one by one to find it then wait for you to put them back together.
-Lover of any and all foods.
-Gets excited about hay and sometimes will burrow to find the good pieces.
-Spends her days napping in her Halloween house and playing with her toys in her foster home.
-Not accepting of pets, but is perfectly content when you let her be her fabulous, vibrant self. Aria is more of a watch and be entertained, no touch bunny.

Our beautiful Maggie is looking for a home. She is currently in boarding kennels as no one was willing to give her the time she needed to decompress after being surrendered to us. Maggie was adopted at about 7 months old, her adopters failed to provide her with the proper trainer and structure that a puppy needs. As a result, poor Maggie has been turned away for her impolite jumping to greet, or using her mouth to nibble playfully and say hello. Maggie is easily corrected and redirected with balls or toys. A dog savvy home is sought for Maggie to give her the attention and structure she so desperately deserves, and what was promised to her the first time around. Maggie is currently on Cape Cod, MA and available for meet and greets with qualified applicants!http://www.SandyPawsRescue.com/

At about 9-years-old Owen is an overall friendly cat with people. He will take a few days to adjust in a new home, but is a good boy once he is settled. Unfortunately, Owen is diabetic. This makes it a lot harder for a pet to be adopted out. We know there is someone out there looking for a handsome senior with some adorable extra toes!
Owen is a great companion to humans! However, he does not enjoy other animals. Owen has lived with another cat but this cat was brought into the home as a kitten. He would not do well with an already established cat in the home. Owen will always need to remain the one and only but will love you a lot!
Adoptions are by appointment only so please email [email protected] for more information! All cats are fixed, vaccinated, combo tested, dewormed and flea treated at the time of adoption. Adoption fees are $130 for a cat, $180 for a kitten under 5 months, and $60 for a cat with special needs or senior over 10 years.

We are desperately searching for a #fureverhome for Goliath! This big sweetheart has been in the shelter for nearly 5 months, he would make the excellent addition to your family this holiday season. We are willing to set up a foster-to-adopt arrangement as well!
Goliath is a big boy with lots of energy. He loves to play and be active, and would love a family who would exercise him often. He loves people and is great with older kids. He’s a people-dog more than a dog-dog and would prefer to be the only doggy-child. His favorite thing in the world is playing frisbee! He is looking for the pawfect home, and we’re going to find it for him.

We are looking for a very special home for this boy…Condor!!! Condor was trapped in Worcester,MA several months ago and he was in very sad shape. It was obvious that he had been living outdoors for a long time and having a hard time at it. At first he was very scared of humans and noises at shelter, but very slowly he started to come around. We found out that the way to his heart is using a wand / feather toy to play with him. He LOVES it! Condor will need a very patient person, who will spend a lot of time with him to gain his trust. He enjoys pets (once he knows and trusts you), but really will benefit from a lot of one on one time. Condor has some dental issues which still need to be addressed, which is why we are looking for a “FOSTER TO ADOPT” home for him. Once he has seen the dental specialist and care has been completed, he will be ready for adoption, but we would love for him to go to a home now. The Community Cat Connection will pay for the dental care and any other care needed before he is cleared for adoption. The adopter would have to be willing to take him to the needed appointments. We are not sure how old he is, but are estimating him to be around 10 years old.
If you are interested in meeting Condor, please send us a message! I think he will be a wonderful friend to the right person This “old man” deserves to have a loving home for the rest of his life

We have a favor to ask of you. Our Copper has been waiting for a home for a while. Can you help us get him adopted by sharing this post? Let's all work together to find Copper the home that he deserves. Thank you, everyone! I am currently in a foster home! I am hoping to find an adoptive home :)
Cooper is an adorable mixed breed dog who is about a year old. This handsome guy was originally brought up from the south and adopted through another shelter. The home he was in had another dog who was not kind to Cooper so he found himself back in a shelter. Cooper is a very shy dog who is working hard on being more confident. When he first meets a new person he will back away and try to hide. He is a dog who really loves his treats, so give him time and a bunch of cookies and you will earn Cooper's trust. Once he bonds with a person he is a bundle of energy and endless kisses! Cooper will need to be in a quiet adult only home so that he has time to relax and work on his social skills. Cooper has shown a tendency to guard his home. He would prefer a quiet home without frequent visitors. Any new people who come to the house would have to meet Cooper outside so that he gets to know them before coming inside.
Cooper enjoys being outside and is great in the car. Since he is a fearful dog, Cooper is at risk for escaping. He will always need to be watched when outdoors, even in a fenced area. Cooper seems to enjoy other dogs and his new home should have a younger, dog friendly dog that enjoys playing. That way he can get all the attention and love and really work on being the best dog he can!
We have had a tremendous response to Coopers post. Before emailing, please make sure you meet the following criteria:
_ A quiet home without frequent visitors
- Adult only home
- A willingness to work on reactivity in the home
- A willingness to continue training Cooper and work on his fear of new people
If you are interested in Cooper, email [email protected] !!

Feel like Stevie is staring into your soul? He is. Observant and mysterious, adoptable Stevie seeks a quiet home where he can take watch of his family before deciding his next move. After 2.5 months of diligent Meow Mix delivery from staff, Stevie is offering up meows; they’re high pitched and dainty – don’t tell him we told you that. Stevie’s history includes many feline roommates, so he may enjoy a partner with whom he can show off his perplexing glare. If you’ve got patience to spare, we suspect this gentleman might just make a lovely companion.

Approx 3 yrs, Rocky just came into the shelter. He is still getting used to all the new people and animals and being in a shelter, but feeling more comfortable every day and giving gentle tail wags for the staff and volunteers. What a gentle and sweet boy! We were told he is good with children, although we recommend older children. Toddlers may be too active for him and move too quickly for this shy guy. Rocky enjoys going for walks and walks well with the use of a martingale collar and easy-walk harness. He would be a welcome addition to any family and make your home complete. Snuggling with Rocky would not only bring a smile to your face, but also to your heart - as he fills your life with love and companionship!!

http://farsaves.com Adopted then returned to the shelter for being sick, he found himself a few hours away from being euthanized. He was originally surrendered at 13 years old for having “maggots” in his stool- more likely tapeworm from fleas. Kitty is an absolute mush and just wants to be loved. He can’t even get close enough just tries to snuggle closer and closer. He has a pretty bad upper respiratory infection is dehydrated and is anemic. He is felv/fiv negative. He isn’t eating and lost a pound in a week. Hoping a day or so with our friends @mountlaurelah will get him feeling better so he can bring his love and warmth to a deserving family. Could it be you? Able to foster? If not please consider donating. His bill will start around 1500 for er care and iv fluids and medications. If he has to stay for days, you can imagine the bill climbs too. Please help. He also needs a new name for his new life!! |

When Houdini first arrived at the shelter, he quickly caught the eye of several people as he has what volunteers call an “infectious smile”. Sweet boy was surrendered about a month ago due to his owners having no place to keep him. Houdini lived outside his entire life and now he sits in a kennel all day long. Unfair is an understatement. Regardless of his rough start, this stunning fella is intelligent, affectionate, and truly one of a kind. Everyone adores him! He is 3 years old, dog friendly, and loves all people! Houdini is the complete package and really does deserve a family that won’t give up on him; one who will show him unconditional love. Let’s get Houdini seen! PLEASE SHARE!
