EVENT INFO: Metropolitan Guinea Pig Rescue -- a local nonprofit guinea pig rescue serving the MidAtlantic area -- is hosting its seventh annual pignic. Come and join MGPR volunteers for a relaxing day at the park with your piggies and other guinea pig enthusiasts! You'll meet rescue members and other guinea pig aficionados. Take part in contests, raffles, a children's table, enjoy our annual bake sale, and more! Lawns are not treated at this park, so piggies are able to frolic in the grasses and clover with their piggie cage-mates. Please be sure to bring your own play yards for your piggies, water-rich veggies, water, a hidey or two, and a blanket for your piggies if they are clover sensitive or have sensitive pads. We'll supply the timothy hay! Bring lawn chairs if you'd like to sit near your pig-pens or catch some rays. Feel free to bring your lunch or enjoy lunch with MGPR volunteers. Remember to save room for dessert, as we always have plenty of yummy home baked goodies available at our bake sale!
Several MGPR volunteers will be on hand at this event to answer your questions about guinea pigs and guinea pig care. Hope to see you there!
