From an email plea, "Brownie's time is running out at North Central Animal Shelter in Los Angeles! Please help us get him out!. On January 3rd Brownie was brought to North Central Animal Shelter in Los Angeles. He had escaped from his miserable life. For 3 years, Brownie lived tied up in a backyard. He never received any love from his "family". He cried a howled a lot and the only time they spoke to him was to yell at him to "shut up". The neighbors complained to the city but no one did anything to help. When Brownie escaped from the yard, a kind neighbor brought him to the shelter in the hopes that he would be adopted into a loving family. Now Brownie's time is coming to a dangerous close. Please help us get him out before it's too late! We need funds for rescue! There are 2 of us (the neighbor and myself) who are trying to save Brownie. Neither of us are in a position to bring him into our homes so we want to raise $ in the hopes of getting him to rescue. Thanks!"
